Irina Vega for Interviú is a photoshoot built like a visual manifesto: sharp, sensual, provocative and impossible to reduce to just one mood. Shot by Cristina del Barco for the cover and inside pages of Interviú, this 2018 session accompanied an interview about Irina’s work as a director of alternative ****, and that context matters.
Because this is not just a model posing for a magazine. This is Irina Vega stepping into the frame as performer, creator and statement.
The shoot moves through very different atmospheres: the cold architecture of Madrid’s skyline, the glossy tension of latex, the intimacy of interior portraits, the theatricality of black and white, the almost surreal softness of the bathtub scenes. Each look reveals another side of Irina: elegant, defiant, playful, severe, magnetic.
Cristina del Barco captures her with a strong editorial eye, mixing fashion, eroticism and personality without flattening her into a single fantasy. The transparent dress against the towers feels futuristic and exposed, almost like a red-haired apparition dropped into the financial district. The latex pieces bring shine, control and attitude. The softer indoor shots add a more intimate pulse, while the bath images close the set with a dreamy, decadent edge.
A cover shoot with teeth, gloss and intention.
This session belongs to a moment when Irina Vega was not only being photographed, but also being interviewed about the world she was building: alternative **** with its own language, its own ethics and its own dirty little elegance.
